Rechon "Leaky" Black, born June 14, 1999, is a college basketball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels. He was given his nickname, "Leaky," by his grandmother since it's similar to his middle name, Malik, and it stuck. He attended Cox Mill High School, in Concord, N.C. Where, as a senior, Black averaged 13.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 2.8 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game. Black commited to play at North in January, 2016, just weeks after receiving an offer from Roy Williams. In his senior season at UNC, Black averaged 4.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1 steal per game, shooting 47.4% from the floor. While Leaky Black's stats don't jump out at you as anything too spectacular, his on-court impact goes beyond the stat-sheet. Black made the All-ACC defensive team in his senior season, and is undoubtedly one of the best on-ball defenders in the country.
