Caleb Love, born September 27, 2001, is a college basketball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels. In high school, he attended Christian Brothers College. In his senior season, Love averaged 26.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 steals per game, leading his team to the Class 5 Final Four, and winning the Gatorade Player of the Year Award in Missouri. Love was named a McDonald's All-American, becoming the first Christian Brothers College player to do so since Larry Hughes in 1997. Love was ranked seventh overall in the class of 2020 by 247 Sports. He committed to play basketball for North Carolina on October 1, 2019. As a freshman, Love averaged 10.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. As a sophomore, Love's game took a major leap, averaging 15.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Love scored a career-high 30 points, 27 of those in the second half, in a 73-66 Sweet 16 victory over UCLA.
